About

Living and working with intention.

Althea Lakeview Farm is a place where practical work, learning, and shared life are woven together. The project grows through cooperation, creativity, and respect for the land and each other.

Our approach

We value simple routines, honest effort, and a pace that leaves room for observation, reflection, and mutual care. Over time, the land and the people shape one another.

  • Permaculture-based learning and ecological thinking
  • Community-led work and daily practical routines
  • Hospitality, exchange, and respectful collaboration

A living farm project

Althea Lakeview Farm brings people into closer relationship with land, food, and one another. The farm is shaped by the work of each season: tending living systems, learning by doing, and making space for the conversations and relationships that turn a place into a community.

This is not a finished destination or a fixed programme. It is an ongoing practice grounded in attention, participation, and care. Visitors, volunteers, and collaborators are invited to meet the farm as it is, contribute what they can, and leave with a deeper connection to the work behind everyday life.

What guides us

  • Ecological thinking: We look for ways to work with natural systems and learn from the land.
  • Practical learning: Growing, cooking, repairing, building, and sharing knowledge are all part of farm life.
  • Community and exchange: We value honest collaboration, generosity, and the different skills people bring.
  • A thoughtful pace: We make room for observation, reflection, and the care that sustainable work requires.
